Focus 72: Merlin-Edged Data Center Getafe

New state of the art Data Center with maximum performance and efficiency.

The new Getafe Data Center is part of Merlin-Edged’s strategy to become a leading operator in the Iberian Peninsula, with two more centers in operation (Barcelona and Bilbao) and one under construction (Lisbon).

The new infrastructure provides maximum reliability and flexibility to future users, very good data connectivity and maximum energy efficiency and sustainability. The total installed electrical power is 20 MW for IT use, and the annualized PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness – ratio between total power of the building and power applied to IT) is an excellent 1.15.

JG Ingenieros, together with Torrella Arquitectura-Ingeniería, has been responsible for the design of the building and its general installations, as well as the construction management of the building and all the installations.
