Ontologies and semantic data models

We present the fourth report of the Smart Building Series, prepared by the Smart consulting team of JG Ingenieros and led by Marçal Molist Puigdomenech and Juan Gallostra Acín .

In it, we talk about the importance of using an ontology and semantic data model to standardize the information generated by the systems of a Smart Building with the aim of enabling interoperability between systems.

In this paper, we explore and compare six current ontologies and data models proposed to be implemented in the data layer of Smart Buildings, with a special focus on those especially suitable for operation and maintenance, two of the areas we regularly work on. from JG Ingenieros.
